We carefully irradiated all six sides with the electron beam and then discharged the specimen. The result is a series of discharges that form various three dimensional discharges inside the cube instead of a single flat 2-D layer of charge.  Most figures show discharges along six separate planes, parallel to the cube faces - a cube of lightning-like discharges within a cube. Some sculptures also show small tendrils heading towards the center of the cube. The depth of the internal discharge planes varies between 3/8" and 1/2".

The following images fail to capture the depth, clarity, and jewel like character of these gorgeous figures. When illuminated by a multicolor or white LED base, these become sparkling jewels, as the captured lightning glows from within. Internal reflections further add to the complexity and beauty of the discharges. Laser crystal art can't begin to match the exquisite detail and intricate complexity of the thousands of fractal discharges inside these sculptures.
